Went to see Mike Tidwell, author of Bayou Farewell, speak at Octavia Books. He's both terrifying and insiring, because his research indicates there are plans that (with funding) could start fixing barrier islands and marshes within a year. It just takes funds and cojones.

The Mayfair is calling our names for a discussion about this next week. You tell me how Rising Tide went; I'll tell you how Ebb Tide, or Rip Tide, or whatever, went.

Just posted the ebb tide post that has been sitting in Drafts for a few days. Had a lot of last minute preparations to do.
Mrs. M tells me that Monday night is the first, best time of the calendar for both of our travel plans. I have it blocked on the 'authoritative' PDA that rules my travels for us.
Longest drive to the hole buys the first round.

Have a blast in Jackson. I'll handle the gazillion media requests for the both of us, I am sure.
