Look, he's a pretty conservative guy, but he's also an unassuming, good man who actually likes and trusts people who don't have collars and black clothes on.
He had a stroke today. He doesn't deserve that. Archbishop Hannan is head and shoulders above the oddballs who are running the Catholic Church today.

He also parachuted into Normandy as a chaplain with the 101st Airborne during WW2. The man has character. I wish him well.
I love Archbishop Hannan. The guy retired 20 years ago and is far more visible than any of the goofballs who succeeded him.
In a way, he reminds me of Jimmy Carter. Like Carter, he was OK at his job before retirement, nothing special, but after retirement, rather that put up his feet and call it a day, he embarked on a new career far more productive than his office.
I'll pray for him. He is a saintly a priest as I know.
