What's for Lunch Today?

Well, if you live in New Orleans and go to a nondescript little cafeteria on the campus of Loyola University New Orleans, you have this, from Dunbar's, for $6.99. Smothered pork chop, sweet potatoes, rice and gravy, greens, and a roll or cornbread. The pork chop peels off the pone with a plastic fork. You don't even need the knife.

What an upgrade from the Pine Street Cafe and their frozen shrimp po boy! If only they had Dunbar's when I was living in Abra da Cabra.

No joke. The old Pine Street was a bad place to do anything. They did sell beer, though. That was a plus.
