I'm sorry to learn that he passed away.
When I was 13 and he was coaching the New Orleans Pride, I got his autograph at the Sizzler on Veterans. He was very kind.
What can you say about a coach who said that Bill Bradley and Wilt Chamberlain, two of his players, weren't hungry enough?
Oh, and his last college coaching job was at Hofstra.

Hofstra?
Hofstra.
The weird thing was... last night I watched two local news broadcasts mention Van Breda Kolff. Both talked about his stint at UNO.
Neither mentioned the Jazz at all.
Sizzler?
Was your celebrating a sacrament?
I thought your parents only took you to Sizzler when you had done something like that.

STinkpalm?
Try giving him a SHOCKER
And yet another connection - he also coached for stints in the 50s and 80s at Lafayette College in Easton.
I missed you at the Rising Tide 2.
Had to handle slurping Ketel 1 Bloody alone
I had another run-in in the Lone Star state Friday
I never was involved with the car theft in the first place.
