Ending Like We Started

I'm not paying a whole lot of attention to the NFL right now (we in New Orleans have other things to do), but I would like to point out that Berto's sign (which we displayed at the Saints' opening game loss to the Colts) is looking rather prophetic right now.

Eli Manning will rightfully be getting a lot of attention over the next two weeks. I hope everyone also remembers the sentiment visually documented above.

I am happy that Archie and Olivia are smiling these days.

I am also happy that two of the last four Super Bowl quarterbacks were raised in my part of town on Domelise's and Parasol's po-boys.

Next year will be different. Our favorite 7-9 team is coming back purposefully angry. Look out.

Not just 7-9, but third place in our division.

That gives us an easier schedule than the second or first place teams.

Although, for the 3rd year in a row, we are playing a game *in* Chicago.

We also have the #10 pick in the draft, and a deep backfield. Things are looking up.

God, if only we had some guys in the defensive backfield who cover and as importantly who HIT like those guys in Green Bay.

Wait...we DO have one who kind of does that...and we went to Green Bay to get him. Which brings up the point--who in the hell is the Defensive Backs coach of the Packers, and why don't we hear more about him?

Good lord, let's hope so...
